1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember your preferences, keep your session active, and collect information about how it is used.

2. What types of cookies we use
Most items are kept in the browser's local storage (localStorage or sessionStorage), not in cookies. The table below shows everything the site stores in your browser.
3. Essential vs. optional cookies
Essential items (cannot be disabled)
These are needed for the site to work: login, security, remembering your cookie choice, payments. In the cookie banner the "essential" category is always on.
Functional items
They remember a choice or an action of yours (language, rating an article, referral code, closing a banner). They have no switch in the cookie banner. You can delete them at any time from your browser settings.
Analytics cookies (optional)
The cookie banner has one optional category, "analytics". It covers Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and the OpenAI Ads measurement pixel (ads in ChatGPT). These scripts are loaded only after you accept this category. Once they are loaded, Google and OpenAI receive data about your visit, such as your IP address, the pages visited and the identifiers in the cookies listed above. If you refuse or make no choice, the scripts are not loaded.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by external services we use:
- Cloudflare: the Turnstile bot protection check on the registration form.Cloudflare cookie policy
- Stripe: on Stripe's own checkout and billing pages.Stripe privacy policy
- Google: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, only after your consent.Google privacy policy
- OpenAI: the measurement pixel for ads in ChatGPT, only after your consent.OpenAI privacy policy
Third-party requests without cookies set by us
The pages load fonts from Google Fonts and three small badge images in the footer, from Product Hunt, SaaSHub and AlternativeTo. These requests happen without consent and without us setting cookies for them, but your IP address reaches these providers when the font or the image loads.
5. How you can control cookies
You can change your choice about analytics cookies at any time from the cookie settings button in the page footer, which reopens the banner. If you withdraw consent, the Google scripts are no longer loaded on the following pages. Google cookies already created stay in the browser until you delete them from its settings.
You can manage or delete cookies directly from your browser settings:
- Google Chrome — manage cookies
- Mozilla Firefox — manage cookies
- Microsoft Edge — manage cookies
- Safari — manage cookies
Note: if you block or clear the site's local storage, you will be logged out and login to the OmniWatchGuard platform will not work.
