What the OmniWatchGuard affiliate program is
If you work with agencies, freelancers, consultants or marketing teams you could recommend a website-monitoring tool to, the OmniWatchGuard affiliate program lets you earn a30% recurring commission on every client you bring in — every month, for as long as that client stays subscribed.
You don't need your own website, an ad budget or technical knowledge. All you need is a unique affiliate link and people you can recommend a tool to that they, or their clients, will actually use.
Joining the affiliate program is free and takes two minutes.See the program details and generate your affiliate link.
How it works, step by step
- You sign up for the affiliate program on the dedicated page and get a unique link (
?ref=your-code). - You share the link — on a blog, in a newsletter, in a group, or directly with a client you're recommending the tool to.
- Someone signs up using your link — the referral code is stored automatically in their browser.
- The client becomes a paying subscriber on one of the plans — Starter, Pro or Agency.
- You earn 30% of their subscription value, every month they remain a customer.
How much you earn: 30% of the plan price, every month
Commission is calculated from the monthly price the client actually pays, not a flat fee. The bigger the plan your referral chooses, the bigger your monthly commission:
| Client plan | Subscription price | Your commission (30%) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | €9/month | €2.70/month |
| Pro | €25/month | €7.50/month |
| Agency | €60/month | €18/month |
If you refer, say, 5 clients on the Pro plan, your recurring monthly commission is€37.50 — for as long as they all stay subscribed.
Why recurring commission, not a one-time payout
Many affiliate programs pay once, on the first purchase. OmniWatchGuard paysevery month that a client you referred stays an active subscriber. In practice, each referred client becomes a monthly income source rather than a one-off bonus — meaning ten referrals made this year can still be earning you money next year, as long as those clients stay happy with the service.
How referrals are tracked — and the limits of that
When someone visits the site through your affiliate link, the referral code is saved in their browser (localStorage) for 60 days. If they sign up within that window, their account is automatically linked to your affiliate account. It's worth knowing the limits of this mechanism too:
- Tracking only works if the person signs up from the same browser/device they used to click your link — switching devices breaks the link.
- If the same person later clicks another affiliate's link, the most recent link wins — not the first one.
- Commission only applies to new accounts created after clicking your link — it doesn't apply retroactively to clients who already had an account.
- The free 24-hour trial doesn't generate commission — commission starts once the client becomes a paying subscriber.
Where you can share your affiliate link
Good results usually come from recommending the tool to people who already have the problem it solves — not from generic ads. A few channels that work well:
- An article about competitor price monitoring or website change alerts
- A direct recommendation to consulting or agency clients whose online presence you manage
- An honest comparison between OmniWatchGuard and alternatives, such as Visualping
- A recommendation to agencies that could also use White-Label reports for their own clients
- A newsletter, community group, or niche forum relevant to website monitoring or digital marketing
Who the program fits
The program works best for:
- Digital agencies and consultants who already manage client websites and can recommend monitoring as an add-on service
- Bloggers and content creators in marketing, SEO, e-commerce or productivity niches
- Developers and freelancers who build websites and want to recommend clients a post-launch monitoring tool
- Anyone with an audience — small or large — interested in tools for online businesses
How and when payment works
We want to be transparent here: there is currently no dedicated affiliate dashboardwhere you can see your commission in real time. Reporting and payment are currently handled manually, as follows:
- At the start of each month, we manually check accumulated commission for each affiliate, based on active subscriptions referred.
- We send you an email report with the number of active clients and the total commission owed for the previous month.
- Payment is made by bank transfer, based on the details you confirm with us by email.
We're working on fully automating this into a live affiliate dashboard. In the meantime, if you'd like to check your commission status at any point, you can always reach out to us and we'll confirm it manually.
Frequently asked questions
How long does my referral code stay active in a visitor's browser?
60 days from the first time they visit through your link, unless they sign up through a more recent affiliate link first.
Do I earn commission if the client only uses the free trial?
No. Commission is only calculated on paid subscriptions — the free 24-hour trial doesn't generate commission.
What happens if a client I referred cancels their subscription?
Recurring commission for that client stops from the month the subscription is cancelled. Commission for your other active clients continues as normal.
Can I see in real time how many clients I've referred and how much I've earned?
Not yet — there is no live affiliate dashboard at this time. Your status is checked and communicated manually, through a monthly email report, and payment is made by bank transfer. This is something we plan to automate in the future.
Is there a limit on how many clients I can refer?
No. You can refer as many clients as you like, and the recurring commission applies to each one independently.
